PYP Teacher in Gabon

This international school in Gabon is seeking an experienced PYP teacher to start in September 2022.

Vacancy Requirements:

Fully qualified teacher status with an internationally recognised teaching qualification.

Previous experience in a similar role.

PYP experience is essential.

This international school in Gabon is an education village that offers a holistic, structured, internationally minded education programme centered around the International Baccalaureate (IB) from 3 to 18 years. It includes the arts, literacy, maths, science, and humanities. The global economy which drives the nations requires students to be aware of other countries and cultures. In early Years students follow the PYP (Primary Years Programme), students learn literacy in either French or English according to their home language and they either learn French as a foreign language or English as an additional Language so that every child has a chance to become bilingual in French and English. All subjects are being taught through the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Special emphasis is put on Mathematics and extra support is offered to EAL and FSL students. The school offers the EDEXCEL International GCSE courses. There is also a school devised French for Francophone studies program offered to students as a bridge from Y9 to Y12 French. The school then offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with the possibility of a Bilingual Diploma.
